Why we use it and our lawful basis

Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who act as our processors under written contracts:
- Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to our inbox
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and protects it against attack
- Microsoft 365, our email and business systems
- Anthropic, which provides the AI research assistant used to prepare draft answers under commercial terms that do not allow your data to be used for training models
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum as appropriate. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and our answers for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case our client retention schedule applies. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent, plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
Your rights
You have rights to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to our processing (including an absolute right to object to direct marketing), to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@sentinel42.com to exercise them. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
